We had our own version of Sierra Nevada’s Stout Stew last night. First we changed up the beer used by switching from Sierra Nevada’s flagship stout to 2014 Narwhal Imperial Stout. We also used venison instead of beef and left out the mushrooms.

This made for a hearty stew that more than matched the rich gaminess of the venison.
