In a secret lab deep below AT&T Park the Giants have recently begun a campaign that will change baseball forever. After the huge success of their young star catcher Buster Posey they realized the key to the future of the organization: MORE BUSTER POSEY!
The Giants have clearly begun a Buster Posey cloning campaign. Buster is an incredible athlete and literally played every position in college, so he is the perfect mold for the Giants team of the future. Not only do they look the same, Posey, Susac and Panik are all listed at 6′ 1″, and all three are tearing it up right now helping the Giants win eight of their last nine games. Buster averaged about 5.3 WAR over his first four seasons. I don’t know how to do the math, but I’m pretty sure a whole team of 5+ WAR players would be unstoppable.
Some Giants fans may be against cloning, preferring a GMO free baseball team, but I’m all for it. The only down side I see is the brief confusion that occurs when one of the clones is mistaken for Posey on the field, but that’s what the numbers on the back of the jerseys are for. I, for one, welcome our new Buster Posey overlords.
So that’s what they’re doing! Let’s just hope the clones done end up being like the ones in Multiplicity.
…don’t …
