Don’t Feed the Troll

My health insurance company has a “Daily Challenge” program where they send you an email every morning suggesting a healthy activity. If you claim you did the activity you gain points toward weekly giveaways. It’s a great idea in theory, but the activities are mostly ridiculous. Most of them involve flailing away madly in your office cubicle in a way that would draw some concerned looks from coworkers at the least. I click the link almost every day, claiming I’ve completed that day’s crazy task, and I’ve won tens of dollars in MasterCard gift cards so far. The program has a social-media like interface where users can comment on the activity, encourage each other, earn points, and level up. Some of the challenges are so stupid they’re just asking for trolling, click on the images to enlarge.

Why the fuck would rubbing your eyes for a full minute be a good idea?

3

The injuries from this “wellness” program area already stacking up.

4

Some people seem genuinely concerned about me.

7

I have no idea where Cronkite came from. Most random celebrity I could think of, I guess.

9

Seriously? They expect me to do this shit at work?

28

My fellow users are either getting smarter or they’re just getting used to me.

32

Classic Tim.

33

Again with Walter Cronkite…

35

How is this better than a regular jumping jack? Other than making you look like an idiot?

36

Oh.

37

Not as sad as all those ellipses.
